Community Partners got a boost from the AFA Web Site
this January. Bonny Shilton, webmaster of Lompoc
Online, was adding the Goddard Chapter's Web Site to
her list of community links when she discovered our
Community Partner page. Bonny has been looking for
links to web sites for local companies, so that visitors
to her site would see what an exciting area Lompoc is in
which to work or live. Our Community Partners page,
with its links to many businesses in the Central Coast,
was a gold mine for her. She admitted it took
"quite a while" to incorporate all those links
on her page because there were so many. Want to
check her site out for yourself? The address for
Lompoc Online is http://lompoconline.com.
Become an AFA Community Partner
Today
As
an independent, non-profit, national association, AFA's
only business is to support this nation's need for
adequate aerospace power to ensure the security of the
United States.
By affiliating with AFA, you will be expressing your
own concern for a deterrent force sufficient to ensure
this nation's peace and security.
The Air Force Association aggressively supports
policies and programs which provide the Air Force with the
trained personnel and the modern weapons systems needed to
fulfill its mission. At the same time, AFA works for
adequate pay, housing, medical care, retirement, and
survivor benefits for both military and civilian personnel
of the Air Force, the Air National Guard, and the Air
Force Reserve. Air Force people regard AFA as their
professional association.
You Support Community Activities
At your community level, military and civilian members
of AFA meet on common ground through the activities of the
local chapter. AFA Chapters are located in all 50
States and overseas. Chapter programs help to
develop community understanding of, and support for, the
Air Force. They also provide for the participation
of Air Force people in community affairs.
Your affiliation with AFA will greatly strengthen these
programs in your local area, and you and other Community
Partners of the Air Force Association will play a vital
role in developing this increased community understanding
of the Air Force.
You Receive Valuable Recognition
& Benefits
Status on an AFA Community Partner provides instant
recognition from Air Force people whom you
serve--especially valuable because of rapid personnel
turnover at Air Force Bases.
A handsome plaque will identify your office or business
as a Community Partner and attest to your participation in
AFA community activities and your support of Air Force
People.
You May Designate AFA Members
There are two categories of AFA Community Partners:
- Category One Community Partner may designate
one person in the organization as a member or patron
of the Air Force Association, to receive all of the
benefits of personal membership. The annual fee
for this Category One Partnership is $60.
- Category Two Community Partner may designate
two persons in the organization as members or patrons
of AFA. The annual fee for Category Two
Partnership is $120.
Each designated member or patron receives the
Association's superbly edited publication, AIR FORCE Magazine,
each month. It is the free world's leading aerospace
publication and is regularly quoted in the Congressional
Record.
AIR FORCE Magazine offers an informative and
entertaining mix of articles on a wide variety of
subjects, including new weapons and aircraft, background
on national defense issues, legislative action, first
person accounts of air operations, and much more.
Persons designated as members are also eligible to
participate in low-cost group insurance programs,
discounts on brand name consumer products, and discounts
on car rentals.
How to Become an AFA Community
